Women's 2nd Amendment Pro Choice Empowerment

HuffPo!

And according to research by the American Journal of Public Health, when an abusive partner has access to a gun, even if the gun belongs to their victim, the situation is more likely to turn deadly: "The presence of a gun in domestic violence situations increases the risk of homicide for women by 500 percent," and, "more than half of women murdered with guns are killed by family members or intimate partners."

one can survive a beating and escape but less likely to survive a shooting. Especially when someone is angry, impulsive, and irrational.

The ad — which is less a message aimed at abusers and more a bulletin encouraging women to purchase firearms — goes on to say that "real empowerment" looks like millions of women buying guns to protect themselves and their families from any potential threat. In doing so, it not only transfers blame for assault from the assailant to the victim, but it seriously mischaracterizes both sexual assault and domestic abuse.

then shot himself with the 7 yr old kid upstairs. They argued quite a bit and was allowed to have a gun but was a felon I think so shouldnt have had one. Guns make murder and suicide much more impulsive especially with men who can have hair-trigger tempers.

so the NRA is targeting women now. Expect them to create ads targeting blacks and hispanics next.

I know this is a cynical viewpoint, but it's just marketing to them, pure and simple.
