(127,289 posts)For the past 10+ years, he has just been enjoying himself - both in his performances and personal life. He has done it all - theater (including at the famous Globe Theater as a Shakespearean actor), Broadway (1-man shows), film (Dune & X-Men, etc), television (obviously Star Trek). Basically going about life with the mantra "What the hell...why not?!!!!". He just turned 76 4 days ago and recently married a young woman who is 1/2 his age (who has obviously had an amazing effect on him ).
As a note - anyone who has been following him over the past 3 decades would know that as stiff and stern as he may appear when performing the various roles he has been given, the man is downright silly in real life.

(9,512 posts)...that's the great Jim Campilongo on guitar. Don't know the other musicians but Jim is the real deal, and I'm sure the others are top level as well.

(18,581 posts)I looked him up on Wiki and see he has quite a resume for studio work.
The guy on keys looks a lot like Doobie Brother Michael McDonald.
Thanx for the tip
For more Cowboy Pat humor call the number at the end of the commercial. It's 1-877-828-0120

(9,512 posts)No, that's not Michael McDonald, and that's not a keyboard. It's a pedal steel guitar. I don't know any of the other players.
BTW, Jim has several solo albums which are great. His style is a mix of country, rock, and jazz with a lot of unusual effects from his telecaster.

I laughed most immoderately.
Though I must admit, Sir Christopher Lee's rendition of "Ghost Riders" has to be heard to be believed.

At least he sang your song, Ringo.

And I just found this from LeVar Burton -
First time I heard that story was Samuel L. Jackson doing it (naturally), but didn't realize that LeVar did it too.
