Which means either the rich person wants to help people and USES the foundation to network with others to achieve this or they don't.
Thus, I see a fallacy in his argument--which seems to be the same one Trump is making. A charity that needs money to do its work (like send aid to starving people), could easily be influenced by wealthy Doners saying that they'll give or withhold if they don't get what they want. A charity that works more like a dating service ("this person can help you achieve your goal to help these starving people"

, cannot be so influenced.
