1. Republicans like to pretend they liked Clinton all along

hoping to get the support of the 5 remaining PUMAs in the country.

and we're supposed to forget the fact that the GOP opposed his successful economic plan (not a single GOP senator voted for it), called him a communist/socialist/Marxist, insanely accused him of killing Vince Foster, insanely accused him of raping Juanita Broderick and finally impeached him over a blow job.

and even if Romney's charge that Obama is an old-style liberal were true, good for the president. The country thrived economically under FDR-style policies through the late 40s, 50s and 60s. It wasn't until Nixon and Reagan that the middle class died. We need for old school liberalism to shift us back from the rightwing ruin of Ayn Rand-ism and Milton Friedman-ism.
