1. We're not "red-baiting" Trump.

We're putting him in with a dictator.
One who has had journalists who expose the truth MURDERED.

"RT.com" is a Putin propaganda outlet, to this day, they blame a Ukrainian fighter for the shooting down of the airliner over the Ukraine.

Using a totally *FAKE* photo.

While the truth is that it was a Russian-backed group armed with an AA missile that was the killers.

Putin is also a vicious anti-gay activist, making it against the law to be gay.

If it was up to me, I'd have "RT.com" banned from here.

Lenin wanted to overthrow the Czar and forma communist government. Putin has dismantled an attempt at democracy and become a virtual Czar.

5. US Has to Have an Enemy
Thu Sep 15, 2016, 09:19 AM

I think one reason that the leadership is villifying Russia is that the US has to have a common enemy to keep people untied, when
football won't work anymore. Also it keeps the money rolling in for the military and increases support for the wars, which is flagging as people realize that they are not benefitting from our massive investment in the military.

8. Reporting the truth about Putin and Russia is not villification.

The disinformation campaign Russia has directed at the American public is popping up all over the place these days. Is the fact that Russia annexed part of Ukraine "villification?" Is the support for Ukraine rebels "villification?" Is the occupation of part of Georgia "villification?" Is the murder and imprisonment of journalists and political opponents "villification?"

9. Bullshit Cop-out

First, Putin isn't Russia. The Dem leadership doesn't hate Russia, just their "democratically" elected leader. Repuke leadership loves Putin. Have you ever asked yourself why? And why is Russia's gov't hacking Dem servers, and not Repuke servers? Why is Putin praising Trump and not Clinton?

Secondly, if your (ridiculous cop out) common enemy argument is true, then don't radical Islamic Extremists(ex. ISIS), Iran, and N. Korea provide enough 'common enemy' material?

Third, how does hating Putin increase support for wars? We're not bombing Russia, and there's no motivation from Dem leadership to war with Russia.

Yeah, Putin is perfect. How could anyone find fault with that guy?

10. No, Russia has a vested interest in interfering with US affairs - just as the US has...

...has a vested interest in interfering with other country's affairs. And China, and all the other "first world" countries where global business and politics go hand in hand.
We have our corporate lobbyists running our government.
The EU has the IMF and other bankers with fingers in the governments of all the associated countries
China has their newer, kinder, gentler Communist Party running their government.
Russia has former KGB members and possibly the Russian Mafia running their government.

Just because we're not always the good guys and have a nasty habit of going around waiving our dic...er, flag around doesn't mean that we should stand by and "take our just desserts" and let other countries that are just as if not more corrupt and authoritarian push us down into a subordinate position.

If anyone was going to interfere with our country, I'd prefer it to be Canada, Finland or Iceland. Or even Japan or South Africa. Certainly not Russia. The clique currently in charge there is just as brutal and single minded as Cheney's "PNAC" inner circle.
