Why does Wall Street keep committing crimes? Because nobody goes to jail. And that’s the same reason that we continue to see police officers gun down unarmed black people in America – nobody is held accountable.

advanced mathematics in comparison.You wonder at the depth of the depravity of the officials who are sitting on their hands, in the face of such brazen murders of innocent people. How can the politicians expect to ever win back the respect of the citizens of the country, when the very public-servants paid by the public to uphold even more mundane laws, are 'given the green light' to actually murder innocent members of the public.

Normally, we understand why premeditated murder is considered in law as being the most culpable, and, indeed, these murders that seem so totally gratuitous may actually be sort of 'snuff' movies they are acting out, which they had been fantasizing about for a while, in view of the total impunity with which the authorities treat gratuitous murders of innocent POC by the police.

Sometimes, 'only in America' can have the most wonderful connotations, but when it has bad connotations, 'only in America' makes 'the stuff of nightmares' seem appealing. The lynchings and the Senate's reluctance to prosecute the lynchers as late as post WWII are all of a piece, and with today's persecutions of POC, very indicative of the truth of Oscar Wilde's dictum : 'America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between. There is no other country in the world, not even in South America, in which a writer's (inAyn Rand's) imagined transformation of 'the law of the jungle' into a philosophy, albeit with the additives of wanton cruelty peculiar to homo sapiens, could gain the least traction. In fact, of course, the notion is utterly risible.
