(11,085 posts)We will soon hit that singularity when the machines can do all the work people used to do. In a Utopian future that means people get to live a life of ease. In a dystopian future that means only the owners of machines have a means of making a living and the rest live on government generosity (get out your ration cards for Soylent Green). In a really dystopian future that means the machines realize they don't need us anymore and lace the Soylent Green with sterility drugs. (They don't need to murder us all, just stop us from reproducing and wait a hundred years.)

touch screen on the table in sit down restaurants instead of a server. Nobody is safe anymore not even
minimum wage workers. We need a shorter work week.

It would not suprise me if we could acheive a 90% drop with the right technology.
