In a Desperate Attempt to Distract Attention, Sununu Straps On A Suicide Belt and Blows Himself Up

Make no mistake about it, folks. The Romney Campaign is ABSOLUTELY DESPERATE to distract attention from Romney's Tax Returns and SEC Filings ANY WAY THEY CAN.

It's clear to me that they realize this is the make or break moment of Romeny's campaign, and if they can't shake the issue of the Tax Returns and SEC Filings THIS WEEK, he's finished. Oh sure, they'll continue the campaign through to November, but they'll give up all hope of unseating Obama, and just divert all their resources to the House and Senate races. Romney will be relegated practically to Ross Perot status, looking like a garden gnome jumping up and down trying to get his head up into the same frame whenever Obama is talking on TV.

It seems fairly obvious that all the peripheral political hitmen: Limbaugh, Fox News, Hannity, Karl Rove, and now JOHN SUNUNU got their orders this weekend: 'BLACK MONDAY.' That's right, they ordered the political suicide bombers to blow themselves up on TV, in a desperate, last ditch attempt to distract attention from Romney's Tax returns.

In this particular interview, Sununu invoked ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:

BILL AYERS
ROD BLAGOJEVICH
TONY REZKO
Obama's admitted drug use in college
Failed green companies and "kick backs"
His brief stay in INDONESIA which Sununu made sound like his entire upbringing.

Then he mentions "And when he came to the U.S...blah blah blah...COMMUNITY ORGANIZER.

I think he hit all the bases except MICHELLE and the "first time in my adult life" comment, and JEREMIAH WRIGHT.

Why is this good news? Because it proves THIS IS ALL THEY'VE GOT! If they'd had anything new to throw at Obama, they would have thrown it this week. I have no doubt of it.

Why Sununu? Well, because, like most suicide bombers, he's considered 'expendable.' So far, he hasn't really proved himself to be a particularly good surrogate, and they were probably going to jettison him anyway. So why not have him BLOW UP and spray s#!t all over the place, in the hopes that some of it sticks, instead of just quietly dropping him ostensibly to 'spend more time with his family?'

It's a pretty standard tactic, but it's very telling as to how desperate the Romney Campaign is at this point, and very telling of the fact that they have nothing NEW to throw at Obama.

taking the exact opposite position to whatever Obama does or says, they've placed themselves in a ridiculous spot. If Obama said he loves apple pie, the House would now have to pass a resolution saying "APPLE PIE IS UNAMERICAN by a vote of 225 to 131."

mistake!

Even Boehner scheduled the contempt vote for Holder on the exact same day the SCOTUS decision on Obamacare was due to be released because he WANTED it to be buried in the news cycle. If the contrived F&F scandal makes it into the mainstream news, the GOP will look like CRACKPOTS. It makes more sense to keep F&F as a dog-whistle issue that only their crackpot base is aware of, and sane people don't know anything about.
