He's got a point. Very savvy. 'Low Information' means 'Too Stupid To Figure It Out No Matter What'. byronius Apr 2017 #6
I've thought about this, but the Dems are really playing the long game, and that needs honesty Fast Walker 52 Apr 2017 #8

Trump's campaign was based on making promises after promises. The wildest promises ever, with no respect to what is actually doable. And the voters voted for the guy who promised them most.

And they really thought that Trump would make all of his unrealistic promises come true because he "tell's it like it is".

We've reached a state in our public discourse where words mean very little. Jacques Ellul has been talking about this since at least the Reagan years. We should probably start to pay attention.

It looks like he's either being sarcastic or he's having an off day.

Usually I love The Liberal Redneck, but I can't agree with this one. Why not tell them the whole truth and show them how rethugs let them down and lied?

Let them know that we're aware of how rough it is - and tell them what Democrats want to do to make it better. And keep telling them and telling them. Also, let them know that we will not abandon minorities, women, or principles while we're at it.

except for the part where he suggested that liberals try not to be such insufferable pretentious dicks all the time. And I think that was the point.

He sees how we come across in a way that most of us don't.

Lies only work in the short term, though they do allow assholes to seize power
