She was so lovely and such a great foil for Dave. stuffmatters Apr 2017 #4
I loved it when Letterman would make a smart-ass remark and she would give him that "Now David " look. nocalflea Apr 2017 #5

And Dave obviously did, too. Sympathies to Dave and to the family who are going to be missing her - and her wonderful Thanksgiving pies.

Her Winter Olympics remotes in Norway were really funny-- I believe she met Hillary Clinton there.

She was always quite charming, mainly because she was always just Dave's Mom. And Dave had both Hillary and Bill Clinton on his show numerous times. It must have been a thrill for Dave's Mom to meet the First Lady, but it didn't change her at all.

Mom's question to Hillary came directly from her son. (I think she read it off a card.)

Dave had been in the news for getting stopped for speeding several times in a short period. His mom asked Hillary if Bill had any pull in fixing the tickets. It was a great moment.

Typical loving mom . I can only imagine the number of times she had to tell him to stop teasing his sister(s) .
My heart goes out to Dave.
