A couple of VERY conservative legislators have introduced a bill but the Republican leadership in the General Assembly has already stated that the bill won't receive a hearing. Not to say that they have become enlightened with regards to marriage equality but they got burnt on HB2 and they don't want to create another uproar. They'll continue their strategy of incremental cuts to our rights.

... never give up as they think they know better than the rest of us peons. For the "keep government small and out of your life" crowd, it only applies to what THEY want! Gun control? NEVER, its tyranny! Medicare?, NO, its socialist and un-American! Limits on corporations political spending?! Blasphemy! Gay marriage? Lets make as many laws as possible to put our nose in your bedroom.

How do these people sleep at night?
