Joseph Stiglitz: Iraq War Caused the Great Recession

Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz argues that U.S. combat in Afghanistan and Iraq helped trigger 2008's economic collapse. According to Stiglitz, rises in oil prices, a culture of deregulation, and the housing bubble all stem from America's war involvement.

will cause us to go into that double dip that everyone's so afraid of.

How they can be so shortsighted and continue to refuse to allow the government to collect what it needs to pay for the wars is completely beyond me. I hope Obama wakes up soon and starts using this idiocy to win by a landslide.

Banks, Wall Street, MICs, oil companies...the 1%!

They can pay off the deficit and leave our Social Security and Medicare alone!

It's also time to end the tax cuts. Richie Rich can start working for a living...

They've been ordered from their corporate masters to link the recession to public employees, Social Security, unemployment payments and other domestic programs. It's never the fault of the MIC and its warmongering.
