of AR-15's, which by the way, are NOT designed to 'pretty much kill large numbers of people'. The AR-15 is the most popular center-fire rifle in the United States. There are millions in circulation. They make up less than 1% of the total number of people killed with a firearm every year.

So uh, he'd rather people had a couple glocks instead of an assault rifle? Ask a survivor at Virginia Tech if that is a terribly smart equation.

Holmes had two handguns, if they were more destructive, why didn't he use them?

than be able to guess what was going through this lunatic's head.

The other handgun Cho used was only a .22 caliber. Still. He reloaded 10 times, and neither Cho, nor Loughner, nor even this asshole in Colorado had much experience with firearms.

We also don't know yet, how many people were shot at the theater with the handguns, versus the rifle. The rifle jammed at some point. Or rather, the piece of shit Beta-C mag jammed, as they are wont to do, and being inexperienced, he didn't know what to do. Whether he switched off to the handguns or what, isn't publicly clear yet.
