1. Fox, my Mexican acquaintances have almost all told me, was a very good president.

So much so in fact that his successor, Felipe Calderón, was elected precisely because he was seen as Fox's continuation.

Unfortunately, Calderón - with Dubya's encouragement - swerved hard to the right, and buried his country under the worst recession since the '82 debt crisis and an incredibly brutal (though much under-reported) dirty war that cost over 30,000 lives.

A little like the difference between Obama and the Thieving Orange, you might say.

2. Even if tRump pays attention to this, it changes nothing. He's made a deal with Ryan and McConnell.

They scratch his back; he scratches theirs. We've all seen what Ryan and the GOP plan to do to American citizens, especially the less fortunate and, well, everyone really, except for the wealthy. Who hasn't known of a relative that has needed to be in long-term nursing care, especially an elderly person? Who hasn't known of a young person trying to figure out how to pay for college and maybe qualifying for a Pell grant? Who hasn't known of someone disabled who needed SSDI? Who hasn't known of a friend, relative, or acquaintance who has struggled to make ends meet and needed food stamps or some type of assistance? Who hasn't known of at least one relative or friend who has been diagnosed with cancer? This budget attacks everything and takes an axe to the American dream, to compassion, to poor children, the elderly, the sick, the chance for a cure for cancer...

Trump does not care, and he's not the hero of the "silent majority" or those who feel overlooked and forgotten; in fact, he's their enemy. He used them for their vote and nothing more.

President Fox is intelligent, articulate and funny! What a contrast to Trump.

Thanks for posting the video, lutherj.
