pop culture theatrics are for those who like this type of theatrics. It turns others off, and then it becomes pointless.

this kind of protest is a very poignant statement. Of course it's going to turn some people off. It's going to make some people feel "icky". To ignore that we live in a visual age is to ignore a medium that is crucial to occupy. The man bringing in his "stable" of handmaidens speaks volumes about how the GOP healthcare is doing a nearly complete runaround of the healthcare of women.
