6. I have never watched the "Handmaids Tale" and I do get it. However this type of

pop culture theatrics are for those who like this type of theatrics. It turns others off, and then it becomes pointless.

And in a country that fixates on the visual, this type of theater is very effective at provoking thought in those who can think.

9. For people who have watched the movie or read the book

this kind of protest is a very poignant statement. Of course it's going to turn some people off. It's going to make some people feel "icky". To ignore that we live in a visual age is to ignore a medium that is crucial to occupy. The man bringing in his "stable" of handmaidens speaks volumes about how the GOP healthcare is doing a nearly complete runaround of the healthcare of women.
