I work with some of them.

There's nothing wrong with going for the white blue collar vote and listening to what some of their concerns are. Cutting them off doesn't really help, IMO. I have news for you--you can't always count on voter turnout. Not with the electoral college. Three million more turned out for Hillary. Three million more.

It didn't matter.

You do have to play the electoral college game to a degree if you want to win--and some of those voters vote on issues that should be first and foremost with Democrats. No--no one should be appealing to any voter with racist beliefs just to win votes. But try to show why the concerns about jobs and wages do not begin and end with immigrants. Show them why a higher minimum wage is possible as well as trade protection without killing all trade.

So I disagree a bit with what he's saying. I get the emotion behind it. But I'd rather win.
