2. Most of the guests don't talk politics, but I was looking forward to Michael Moore

He is always a great and welcome guest wherever he shows up - but he and Stephen are kindred spirits. BTW, I checked the listings and tomorrow his guest is Samantha Bee!

after Stephen announced he was a guest.

Maher, Moore, Olbermann and yours truly all agreed that the fake prez would win for different reasons. Moore said it was due to Hillary not campaigning in certain states. Michael warned her campaign that she needed to go to the red states more often but she ignored his advice. I said he would win because most Americans are dumber than dirt and have a memory that lasts a nanosecond at most.

5. He and Samantha Bee have a history, same as he has with John Oliver, so they are always fun

And Sam Bee has followed in his and Jon Stewart's footsteps, has a funny and hard hitting show of her own. And I'm sad to say I agree with you about the election. Not only aren't most people paying attention, over half of them didn't bother to vote. If this Trump debacle doesn't wake them up, nothing will...

good journalist and good person. He is right, we need to be after with satire, all around. I wish there was a way to get on Fox News
Maybe, ad spots, playing Seth, Bee, Colbert, Oliver, Noah.
Crowd fund or Dem Party.
You are doing your part.

6. Lots of us forget he's a journalist, he brings us important news via his films

And do you remember what John Oliver did? He bought commercial airtime on FOX News to send a message to Trump - since he knows Trump watches!

Love Oliver too. He has his own style. Not a talk show host.
Just wicked wit and analysis, exposes.
I drive my partner nuts watching them. It's so nice to find like minds here.

But I had no idea how much worse there was to come! And I wasn't at all political before 9/11, I always voted, that was about it. But that event scared me witless and I knew I'd better start paying attention. And I'm pleased that pretty much everyone I know feels much the same way I do. I've been inspired not only to take an obsessive interest, LOL, but I worked on my congressman's campaigns!

Major events...even as a child... Harriott Beecher Stowe, MLK, JFK, RFK, LBJ & the Civil Rights Act. Demonstrations for Equal Right for Women. Bush v Gore, stolen & the corrupt Scalia SCOTUS. Cheney. Iraq. The Syria refugees. Hillary v Trump. Muslim ban.
Much in between too. Now, this Con Man Bully...who is destroying the last fabric of decency in our country.
There is no going back...Repubs for the most part, sans a few, are cruel people.

We must keep up the work. Great that you worked in your Congressman's campaigns! I raised money for 5 of the closest Senate elections. Only 2 won! However, without those 2, we would really be lost. It really does take a village, working together.

We need as many funny anti Trump voices as possible in the public realm.
