They rely on deception and outright cheating to get into power because their ideas are fueled by selfish greed and prejudice. The mainstream media bends over backwards to make them appear normal. The republican politicians are generally opportunistic, low-life scum. Even more disturbing is what this says about the people and communities that vote them in.

...election manipulation has been going on forever, by both parties...not always involving treason, but unfair all the same.

johnson and kennedy (jfk's father, actually) are both fairly well known to have manipulated votes.

nixon might have won illinois in '60 and been president. i bet having the election stolen from him stuck in his craw all those years and he was thinking "all's fair in love, war, and politics."

this is, of course, not knowing what shenanigans the republicans were up to at the same time in the '60 election.
