(18,837 posts)It's the level of satire I'd expect from Pauly Shore, though.
I"m reminded of Alec Baldwin discussing his own impersonation of Trump, saying something like great satire is rooted in finding some speck of "likability" in the subject so that they are "in on the joke," and that there's no likability in Trump, and he didn't want to get to the point where he "normalized" him. That's paraphrasing him based on my memory of the clip in which he laid it all out.
Miller's a prick. He was an outcast and misfit in school and is now seeking his revenge for that. No humor to be found there.

(18,837 posts)Yeah, Spicer was paid to lie, and he did so, but he never seemed to wear it well. That doesn't excuse the lies...but compare him to Sanders. She lies and wraps every one around "kiss my ass." With Spicer it was more like Smithers to Trump's Mr. Burns.
Trump was offended by the fact that Spicer was parodied by a woman, and that was the first nail in his coffin.
So he went after the thing he knew would wound him the most...denying him access to the Pope.
Spicer also stole that mini-fridge from the White House staffers, so he's a bit of a dick too, BUT...I see Spicer as a flawed human being, while Miller is just a walking flaw. Period.
