On Monday, President Trump attacked Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., on Twitter, and made claims that Blumenthal lied about serving in Vietnam. The senator joins Morning Joe to discuss.

1. Trump always needs someone to pick on.

Blumenthal kinda stepped in it a few years ago by making a few comments that sounded like he'd actually been in Vietnam when in fact he served in the Marine Reserves during the war but didn't go there. He never claimed to have been in battle (or cried) and he apologized for the misstatement. Trump deflects from his own avoidance of military service by throwing mud on someone else's - and not for the first time.

with all the folks who have said "I can't explain Trump's obsession with me".
Kristen Stewart said that when she was dating Robert Pattinson, Trumpy would tweet at them constantly and obsessively, commenting on their relationship. What a creepy stalker....

He didn't accuse Blumenthal of "crying like a DOG," This has been his favorite term of insult, ad nauseum (who knows why he hates dogs). Ironic that he used "llike a child," as we all know who the world's biggest seventy-one year old child happens to be.
