When you consider this analysis by Tonya Raiman; In the clip below, Raiman observes that Palin shakes her head no while saying yes to Charlie Gibson's question: "Do you think you're ready to be President?":
Given that, here's Romney in a recent interview from the Daily Beast:
http://www.thedailybeast.com/videos/2012/07/29/romney-the-wimp.html (note: I tried to provide the actual clip here rather than just the link, but couldn't figure out how to do that).
...is it me or does Romney shake his head no while saying (beginning at the 2:20 mark): "I believe as people look at me, they'll see a person who has dealt with a number of very difficult and challenging circumstances (no) and that I've been able to successfully navigate through those and create greater strength and greater opportunity (no)..."
You have to watch really closely...but I think there are some real (unconscious) tell-tale signs here. I'm not well-versed on all this body language stuff...but it seems to me that all one has to do is just watch...very, very closely and know what to look for.

(44,894 posts)is a good giveaway that Mitt is spouting out a heap of lies.
Not to mention how annoying and pretentious it sounds.

(1,296 posts)about body language - mainly confusing genuine (innocent) nervousness and anxiety with actual lying. I plan on researching it a bit more. Thought I might order this: http://www.amazon.com/What-Every-BODY-Saying-Speed-Reading/dp/0061438294
Though, even with that - it could be that the shaking of the head no while saying yes could truly indicate a lie. I don't know enough about the eye-blinking and the lip smacking to indicate just nervousness or an actual lie - (there's more to this than I thought when I first posted!) But there's no doubt that he sounds pretentious to my ears.
