He looks like a little kid sitting in his first big boy chair. He compared himself the Lannisters in game of thrones

I guess his personality makes up for what he lacks in height! He was surprisingly charming and outspoken with Stephen, almost likable!

After Scaramucci tried to insist Trump “gave up a luxurious lifestyle for this job,” Colbert demanded to know “who cares” about what Trump thinks he had to sacrifice in order to serve the country.

“He did condemn the Nazis today,” Scaramucci said.

“Two days later!” Colbert shot back. “Does he order his spine from Amazon Prime?”

Pretty much repeating the same jokes he's been using all along - and Scaramucci went along with it surprisingly well. Colbert was really at his best during that interview!

"Don't use me for a character reference! I just met you five minutes ago!"

Separating what Mooch did on the job (as well as the fact that he would align himself with Trump at all) and where he was at on Colbert's show, I respected his response to what he would change if he could go back (nothing). He could have been a weasel and said that he would have been nicer to Bannon and Priebus or any number of things. I thought his statement about Priebus (We used to be friends when I was writing checks to the RNC) was an honest one.

Part of screwing up in life is owning it and learning from it. I have no idea what, if anything, he's learned. And he's claiming to own it, so that puts him ahead of people like Corey Lewandowski, who's the same dick now that he was on the campaign trail.

I had a situation recently in which a member of my "extended family" engaged in an act of public character assassination with me standing there (as if I were invisible), and my girlfriend also present. And my reaction at the end of it was anger, but also a sense of "OK, you said it, now you own it. There's no ambiguity regarding what you think of me. Don't ever pretend that you have any other opinion because you just let it all out."

And of course, that didn't happen, because HIS girlfriend tried every shade of lipstick she could find on the pig.

I like the fact that Scaramucci claimed that he owns it. And he's right...Colbert had a lot of fun with him over the course of his tenure and the fallout, and he was a good sport and came on the show. You don't have to like the guy or his politics. You don't have to "admire" him on any level. But he was also right in asserting that a lot of people never would have gone on the show.

I have to give him credit for that - let alone just coming on the show! And he seems to have a sense of humor about the jokes at his expense - which makes him - almost - likable. He really is a smooth character, but Stephen was in control of the interview. I agree and also appreciate that he didn't back off what he'd previously said, that would have been the easier thing to do, but also dishonest. I'll have to give him that. But neither did Colbert, no big surprise!

You're right, he owned it, not an easy thing to do. It's an exercise in futility to try to take back something that was so public - especially in the case of Scaramucci. He was the top story in the news and for every late night comic. Trying to deny something that was so public is classic Trump behavior - and Stephen wouldn't let him get away with it and he had to know that.

I'm sorry that happened to you, public insults can never be taken back, but dishonest people - like Trump - keep trying - and it never works unless you're dealing with co-conspirators.

I figured DUers would be as interested in this appearance as I was, had no idea how it would turn out...

And that's why I try to post these, for those who can't stay up that late or might not have TV. We need all the humor we can get right now!

I can identify, when I was a little kid we lived on the side of a mountain - and back in the last century we could only get ONE channel, so it was TV - or not!
