3. When I heard him say good boy and good girl, I worried that they had dogs in the car.

I am glad they all made it out alive, but being an animal lover, I am especially relieved for the dogs

That is a terrifying video!

*Actually, I am too deaf to "hear" it, but the video is captioned.

5. This video reminds me of the Gatlinburg, Tennessee fire where the same type of video was taken.

The earth is stressed. To say climate change is not responsible is dangerous folly.

And I don't know why the guys in this video didn't just crash thru that first gate to save time. I know most security gates are crashable.

Terrify video.

My close friend was in a similar situation during one of our huge wildfires in San Diego. His rubber soles on his shoes melted on his way to his car while helping a friend escape. They lost their horses and a brand new litter of kittens since it came up so fast (the Santa Ana winds).

Those of us who have been in wildfires will tell you! No time! These fires literally "blow up" when the winds start blowing. They may have had only a few minutes warning. How many folks can get up and go in minutes? I was taught to have a "fly away" bag ready by the door. Simply a back-pack or box with copies of all important documents: birth certificates, passports, insurance papers, bank accounts etc... I also have a 'fire safe', which is great, except when the ground is too hot to walk on for maybe days after the fire. These guys were lucky to get out alive...
