a recent poll showed how overwhelmingly DUers hate link only posts.

With all respect, won't you please just post a sentence or two of context as to what this video is all about?

Thanks in advance. I don't mean to single you out, but for many of us, it is annoying. Most employers, who allow the internet to be accessed on breaks, nonetheless disable video.

is, and who got a lot of money for himself, drug companies and the hospital by treating what became my daughter's chronic pain and overhospitalization due to his botched laparascopic removal of her appendix.

So much for "practice"-for-profit known as the practice of medicine.

I feel the same about the practice of Law!

Justice for my clients is getting less and less. Powerful groups under the guise of average citizens like "Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse" funded by powerful corporations fool people for not only voting for tort reform, but in denying truly wronged or hurt victims any compensation. "Jackpot Justice" is one of their favorite sayings. Now people come to jury duty intent on making sure their insurance rates do not go up by denying others their rights if they prove their case. You cannot prove your case with a rigged jury!

Speaking of rigged juries, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce started publishing free courthouse newspapers for potential jurors to read while waiting as you do a lot during jury duty. These papers do not identify who owns them but are full of negative corporate BS about Trial Lawyers and the cases they bring. They started placing them in areas they labeled "Judicial Hellholes." My town is one such place. Primarily because of all of the oil refineries and the asbestos and other chemicals they exposed millions of workers to. These papers are now online, three of which are The Southeast Texas Record; The Louisiana Record; and the The West Virginia Record.

The system has been rigged. Elected partisan judges have become a growing problem because, guess what, they get campaign donations from..., you guessed it! The Texas Supreme Court rules in favor of corporations vs. individuals over 90% of the time! This is not talked about. I cannot make headway because I am just an "ambulance chaser."

The rules to prove cases have been made progressively harder. The recoveries have become capped or eliminated. Hurricane Harvey hit just days before a new set of Windstorm laws were to take effect. The insurance lobby and state of Texas didn't want victims to be able to recover much or find an attorney willing to work and take on significant risk for a small amount of recovery. They changed the law last Spring with no one noticing. They have made medical malpractice and worker's compensation the same way. Attorneys cannot make any money and/or the risk is too great in most cases.

Our system is broken and controlled by campaign donations purchasing our (former) representatives/judges. Not all are bad and many do the right thing, but their hands are frequently tied.
