I sure know what you mean, that's why I started posting these, they help me to cope, as well. The news over the past year has been so dire - and seems to get worse every day - so I figured that those of us who are paying attention could use humor now more than ever...

...what I DIDN'T notice yesterday was the way he held the bottle at arms' length, as if it were carbonated and he feared that it might erupt all over his ruggedly chiseled presidential features.

At first I didn't want to watch the Colbert clip, because if he left that out, it would have been a major disappointment.

And, God bless him, he didn't leave it out.

And, he echoed my initial reaction, "That was hard to watch."

I assumed that when Trump tweeted about a "MAJOR STATEMENT" he was going to make on his return, we were looking at a victory lap. And because the man lacks any sense of irony whatsoever, the fact that Marco Rubio (and the Internet as a whole) didn't miss a beat in responding to him, it makes it even more hilarious.

My favorite Trump statement from the trip had to be how he was "forced to watch CNN, which he hasn't seen for a long time," and it "reminded him of how bad it is."
