The kiss was part of a skit rehearsal. Even though Tweeden found the kiss offensive, it was not sexual assault. She confronted FRanken immediately following the rehearsed kiss.

The photographer who took the picture said it was meant to be Tweeden playing dead while Franken pretends to revive her.

But Tweeden claims she was actually asleep.

Wouldn't you feel your mom was violated in at least some degree if this were done to her? Even Sen Franken admits this wasn't acceptable on any sort of level.

It may not impeachable (I don't think it is, and Al Franken seems to ready to work through this) and it certainly doesn't hold a candle to anything Roy Moore's done, but it wasn't OK and it isn't OK.

Why wasn't she in on the "joke" if it were so damn OK???

This is a scam...the guy that took the photo said it was staged and she was not asleep and was in on the whole thing.she has been on Hannity's show on Fox a bunch of times.I do not trust her one bit.

Franken has said this was a mutually posed photo, has he? Could you maybe post a new thread with a link to the photag's statement?

Listen this may well be a very good thing. If Franken welcomes an investigation into this and it comes out she was in the joke, it will compel other Senators whose actions that were not so petty to have to submit willingly to investigations into more serious charges, like a possible Senator Roy Moore.

Al Franken's been a good enough Senator I think he's poised to become a credible candidate for POTUS.

Can someone please ask the others that were there when this picture was taken if it was just something for fun that she was in on, or was she really asleep?? The photographer says she was in on it, but what about the others in the room...please ask them!
