5. From Paula Deen's bread pudding recipe

Here’s what you will need to make Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding:
1 pinch salt
1 (9 oz) box raisins
2 eggs, beaten
2 4.5-oz cans fruit cocktail, undrained
1 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk, not evaporated
2 dozen glazed donuts (we prefer Krispy Kreme, of course!)
1 teaspoon cinnamon, (up to 2 teaspoons)
1 stick butter
1 lb confectioner’s sugar
rum, to taste

I'm pretty sure that could kill ANYONE, not just someone in their 90's.

6. Why bother going to all that trouble?? Just eat the donuts as is!

Not that we'd find that particular brand around here - and I'm not up for a trip to Georgia. I had to drive to the vet in Saratoga today, Jack was overdue for inoculations, but I've had the flu. I dragged myself to the doctor on December 21st and the next time I left the house was at the end of last week.

I didn't go anywhere else today. The weather was bad again and I had chills so I fell asleep on the couch. At least Jack's feeling better, I hope, he needed meds for his ears. With the freezing weather, he hasn't wanted to go outside, either.
