6. I have stated it and will restate it: The greatest threat to our nation is the Republican Party.

It is a fact that the Republican Party has adopted with relish the very basic tactics of fascism that were embraced by the Nazis and led to the catastrophe of WWII. These include extreme Nationalism in which they wrap themselves in the flag and condemn those who don't subscribe to their evil polices as in-patriotic traitors. Along with a disdain for human rights the are using scapegoat tactics to marginalize minorities. The ridiculous supremacy of the military and sexism has been evident in this administration in that few women are in important roles.

Especially important is the Republicans' attack on the media which has always been a kingpin in fascist and dictatorships governments. It also is common tactic of fascists to align themselves with religion claiming to be the protector morality against liberal hedonist who destroying the morals of the people. It is ironic that in virtually every case those who espoused these platitudes are guilty hypocrites. Often the religious leaders indorse are espousing concepts diametrically opposed to our constitution and are determined to created a pseudo theocracy. They also have shown a distain for intellectualism such as their refusal to accept scientific facts of global warming. The Trump administration is the epitome of cronyism with disregard for security measures and flagrant use of the presidency for material gain. Lastly, it is their attempt to control elections through gerrymandering and voter suppression of minorities and youth. Everyone of these charges are indeed the absolute reality of our present situation.
