1. I was wondering

Where did all those people go? Trump for President staff? Now working in the Administration? Trump does have a sizeable dumb and devoted fan base.

3. I know a young person whose parents were in the cult group.

They left before the end and formed another cult like group in California.

The young person does not seem to be a cult member.

4. Nasim Pedrad for the win!

It was culturally significant to see a Persian woman play an Indian character. Because most Middle Eastern actors refuse to play negative stereotype roles like terrorists, Hollywood gets Indian or other ethnic actors (pacific islander, Latino, mixed-race, etc.) to do the jobs that Middle Eastern actors won't do.
