The peak of income inequality was in 1928 (hmmm, what happened the following year?). The richest 1% controlled 23.9% of all income. Today that figure is at 22% of all income. It's gettin' close to surpassing the 1928 peak.

(38,958 posts)One: it is really sad that nothing seems to be getting better in this vastly unfair issue. Working people dont seem to be able to even buy themselves a break, even if they could afford it, which they cannot. The oligarchs have skewed the game for a very long time and frankly we are pretty much screwed.
Two: equally sad is the tag line at the end of the video. CBS Real News. That should not ever have to be mentioned, but for the world of fakery and the Esteemed Mr Trump constant barrage of attacks on anything that doesnt compliment him.
