(16,886 posts)The irony is that since he left the White House, I started to wonder if he would become a cooperating witness to some of the cover-ups and crimes committed by the Trump Campaign and the White House.
In that sense, after finding him to be a despicable liar and collaborator with this crime family Trump, I thought he might have some redemption.....But watching this interview and hearing what he writes in the book and how he defends what he has done:
NO WAY!!!! He is a despicable liar and Collaborator with this crime family Trump and traitors against our Nation....
This reporter from BBC did the right thing and frankly should have been harder on him. I hope his book flops and he is eventually indicted or is called as a witness and is exposed for the collaboration and his role in despicable acts and the cover up.

(37,648 posts)It'll sell enough, probably, that he won't need to have a regular job for the rest of his life, if he watches his expenses. That's my understanding. These timely books are big business.
I'm sure there are people on the right who are waiting to lap up inside stories on Trump, how wonderful he is, what a great boss he was, funny little stories about him, etc.

(37,648 posts)He said what obviously someone told him to say...about the "would" should have been "wouldn't." Then he said AGAIN that it could have been anybody who had done it, like China, and mumbled something about the investigation. He just repeated that he did NOT believe the intel conclusions and the indictments.

It is not in their DNA.

(2,505 posts)I posted this earlier on a popular social media site, and excerpted one of the best parts:
All did not go well for Mr. Spicer, when interviewed the BBCs Emily Maitlis. Mr. Spicer was not quite prepared for Ms. Maitlis, who refused to let Spicer off the hook!
And no, she was not bullying him. Spicer was trying to dodge awkward questions, and Ms. Maitlis was having none of it.
You played with the truth, you lead us down a dangerous path; you have corrupted discourse for the entire world, by going along with these lies
(The above quote by Ms. Maitlis, is word-for-word)

(9,426 posts)I almost felt sorry for the guy. Then I remembered how many times he tried to mislead the public. I liked him better when he was the WH Easter Bunny. The costume was very flattering. I hope this book of lies sinks like a rock. He made enough money lying to us, he deserves to be thrown on the dust heap, along with the entire tRump clan of grifters.
