it's the declaration of the Republican party as being totally corrupt. I have felt this to be true, but to hear it stated out loud is chilling.

The simple truth is that the republicans aren't interested in the limited power and compromise that governing in a functional republic entails. They want one party rule and they aren't above breaking the law or even collaborating with our enemies to get it.

If we are lucky their complete disregard for the political norms and laws of our country is going to be the end of their party; if we aren't lucky it will be the end of our republic.
