(37,648 posts)That was about the best video I've seen in ages! Thanks for that. All that talent on one stage. Great songs. All the hunky men, too. Who is that blondish guy sitting between Carl Perkins & George Harrison? He's a cutie pie.
I wonder why Roseanne Cash didn't become a bigger star in her own right? She has a great voice. She had a hit years ago that I loved. Maybe she didn't fit the mold of rock or country, either one.
Anyway...I loved it!

(1,242 posts)Contagious good time. I remember at least one video Rosanne Cash had in the 80's that got heavy rotation on the CMT channel when they played only videos (Eddie Rabbit, Alabama, Judds, Willie and Merle duet 'Pancho and Lefty'). Rosanne Cash said her dad used to sing her songs when he put her to bed every night. Can you imagine bedtime songs by Johnny Cash? I hope she is doing well nowadays. George's 'That's Alright Mama' solo sounds so good in this video - I got used to the BBC recording and hearing it so much clearer cranked some new life into it for me. Good on you for sharing this today!

(13,186 posts)it's Phantom Rocker and Slick on stage
Slim Jim Phantom on snare and cymbal, Lee Rocker on Stand up Bass (from the Stray Cats) and guitarist Earl Slick - all three are together at the far end from Carl.
Brian Setzer is a guitar genius but he kinda left the Cats in the lurch when he went solo.
They soldiered on for a while but didn't have the staying power that Brian did. Still they didn't suck if ya like 80s punk rockabilly.
hell they even put out a single with Keith Richards:
