I tuned in right after Colbert and the local news was still on - the football must have run really long... 
I didn't see football, but tuned in on time right after Colbert and they seemed to still be in the middle of the local news. And when I looked again, I caught the end of Jimmy Fallon with Paul McCartney. I was thinking the delay had to be over an hour. 
BTW, his monologue isn't available yet, but I'll post that when it is.
