Rachel Maddow reviews themes and highlights from the sprawling, exhausting Senate Judiciary hearing on allegations by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford of sexual assault by Donald Trump's Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh.

1. Watching Morning Joe First Look now, and saw earlier a clip of him dancing around the

question of whether he would agree to an FBI investigation. He danced around the question and couldn't give a straight answer. This in itself is damning given we all know he's afraid of what more would be uncovered if there was an investigation.

are rushing his nomination onto the SC. Quickly, before any more dirt is uncovered. His wife looked mortified the entire time he was speaking. I would bet she was dreading going home with that dangerous person.

6. she's probably the model conservative, submissive wife who puts up with his drinking, womanizing

and considers herself lucky she's married to him. If it's true what the guy's freshman roommate said above him - that he becomes belligerent and aggressive when drunk - i wouldn't put being violent towards her and other women past him.

That said, my only hope here if he is voted in is that this fight doesn't end here. I think with Avenatti and others on the case that an investigation will be opened at the local & state level which will then throw this wide open. He'll be forced to testify in court under oath, and once the verdict is in he'll be convicted and will have to resign or be forced out. See link below:

If this asshole can get this angry while he is sober, just imagine this fucker with a few drinks in him. Judge, I think not. Not of any kind.

His unhinged behavior throughout the hearing was shocking. Asking Klobuchur if she has alcoholic blackouts was outrageous. It causes me to wonder if he was entirely sober at the hearing. He acted like the drunk at the end of the bar at closing time.
