I heard them talking a lot about stopping Trump by voting democrat, but not much about doing it to reject republican practices. That's just me though. That being said, I hope this is reflective of something going on Nationwide. 
as plugged in to the political pulse of the country as we are. There are people working two, sometimes three jobs just to make ends meet. There are PTA meetings, soccer games, scout troupes to take camping etc. etc. Most people on DU are already past that stage of life, have postponed those 'American Dream' trappings, or are honest political junkies who need their daily fix of political mayhem. Others simply make the time to keep abreast of the real direction our country is headed, even with all of those things on their plate. I'm not trying to excuse some Americans' refusal to explore our country's dire condition, but some of them are just too damned busy, others too damned lazy. I myself have fallen for the lure of the recliner, a good cold beer, and the 200 channels of cable TV myself in my younger years. As they say, "shit happens". Well, there comes a time when you just can't allow that shit to happen anymore. Not without putting up a fight, and some people just haven't reached that point yet.
We at DU couldn't take our next breath without knowing whether it's being polluted or not. We're political junkies, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We're hardcore main-liners. Others are learning, and the torch will be passed on to a younger generation when old farts like myself shuffle off our mortal coil. I have hope for the future, I really do. 
They are realizing the danger in OUR White House.
I think they are realizing the danger in the House and senate from Repukelicans.
They are saying the words "straight Democrat" which is refreshing to hear.
I can breathe again.
