But what the GOP and NRA say is, "thoughts and prayers. This is not the time to talk about gun control."

Then when IS the time to talk about gun control, assholes?

My heart is torn apart to think of the grief this man, and everyone who lost a friend or loved one, are suffering at this very moment because of another senseless gun massacre.

I can't actually watch that entire video. It's too painful.

We're not going to see meaningful gun legislation in this country for the next couple of decades. I kept hoping that the latest big mass shooting would prompt a real response from Congress - not just rhetoric, but actual policy changes. If mass shootings of children in school can't make people see reason and respond to what the majority of Americans want, very little will.

It is impossible to have hope when even having our children massacred in their schools doesn't wake people the fuck up. This is the definition of madness.

people who were at the site when the shooting was happening or having family members who do. That's in the past 13 months.

It would seem that the reality of these mass shootings is coming home to roost. Who will be next?

That poor man. Heartbreaking.
