Good Luck Everyone - Blackadder - BBC

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place, and in the sky,
The larks, still bravely singing, fly,
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead; short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe!
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high!
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Did you recognize Dr. House there in the middle? packman Nov 2018 #1
Yes. I knew him as an actor before he became Dr. House. nt Xipe Totec Nov 2018 #2

The actors were so affected by it that they couldn't bear to do it again.

Blackadder was a comedy, for the most part, but this was an excellent way to end the series. It seems counter intuitive, but comedians seem to make the best dramatic actors (Steve Martin in Grand Canyon, Robin Williams in Fisher King, Jim Carrey in The Truman Show, for a few examples).

Thanks for posting that.
