But this is finally available, showed a pretty cool message he received back in the day from G.H.W. Bush...

And I agree that it was a good one, figures that he'd have a personal message from H.W. Bush to share...

I liked the rest too. I have been a fan for a while, since his CC days. He doesn't pull punches, we need that for our sanity and he seems to know that.

Even at the beginning of last week (Monday and Tuesday) while he was still on vacation, he went to the trouble of offering a couple of clever new shows rather than the usual repeats. And in his interview with Jon Stewart he talked about his transition from his "Colbert Report" character to the POV he expresses today. And he just keeps getting better...

What a great DUer he would make, at least he’d fit right in on that epic thread!

If you remember, we have had some notable members - Alan Grayson, John Conyers and Elizabeth Edwards come to mind. Who knows? Maybe one of the Late Show writers - or Stephen himself - lurks here!

Though he might be a little taken aback to see his monologue posted - and the comments, LOL. Though he'd also probably be flattered!
