I guess if you can buy the biblical story of creation and the dozens of other "miracles" you can buy the premise that Putin and Trump are god fearing men. "The opium of the people", and all that.

I was gobsmacked by that video. I'm a pacifist by heart, but this makes me want to clobber someone. 
The Russians were our godless enemies during the Reagan administration, and that really wasn't that long ago. Now they're the champions of christianity, and all because of that god-fearing ex-KGB chief, Vladimir Putin??? Yeah, right.
Anyone of a certain age (Trump's) has to remember "duck and cover" and how the Russians were threatening to "bury" us. And it wasn't that long ago that Reagan was tough as nails when he went up against Gorbachev. And in the USSR, religion was the "opiate of the people." I thought that KGB-trained Putin was dedicated to returning to those times. 
than religion? It's worked for over 2,000 years. It's just another way for Putin to get a foothold in the U.S. as far as I can see. Hell, he already has a foothold. I think he's moving to control the political climate in the U.S. for good, and getting the religious right on his side is a big step in that direction.
Off to bed now for a few hours sleep. I have to babysit the grandkids in the morning. They wear me out! 
Despite the fact that Trump has shown no signs of embracing any religion at all, he couldn't even be bothered to follow the service during George HW Bush's funeral - though everyone else in the "presidential row" did. And we know that President Carter is sincerely religious and he said in his autobiography that he's always been baffled that evangelicals persist in voting Republican. 
Get some good rest - sounds like you'll need it to keep up with your little ones.
