I wish we had some MSM interrogators that were willing to confront the interviewees

(63 posts)1. If my eyes were closed, I'd think it was a Monty Python skit.
Rees-Moog sounds exactly like John Cleese as a stuffy, upper class twit.

on the same station, and O'Brien doesn't hold back about him either. And he's 100% right.

Even our best such as Stephen Colbert don't really confront people that spout idiocies. Our worst are nothing more than surrogate mouthpieces.
Is some of this because of the source of funding for the news stations is different than our M$M?

(19,954 posts)4. I think it comes down to the ability of the interviewer. Someone like Rachel Maddow is outstanding
in the US, and Jeremy Paxman was outstanding on BBC Newsnight. People like these, and O'Brien, are a class apart, unfortunately.

Unfortunately I don't have a T.V. and no MSNBC account so my knowledge of her is what I see posted on DU, elsewhere.
60 Minutes used to be very good in that arena - not sure they still are.
