5. Bizarre and sad. Who in the RNC thought of this?

Did they really have to enlist an aging and stumbling actor to add some "star appeal" to their show? Clint may be fine with it all, but I thought it was an embarrassing glimpse at Republican ethics or at least their lack of simple common sense.

8. Oh, that picture is just sad

Who let eastwood do this?

And I'm not even an eastwood fan, but can't help but feel sad for him.

Well, sad until I think about what he's doing and saying...then I realize the repub anger knows no limits.

14. I know ...... he looked so frail I kept wishing someone would slide that chair

in behind him so he could sit. I don't think Invisible Obama would have minded. The commentary and tweets are hilarious!, but it's still sad an 82 y/o man was imo used this way. They had to have known what he was going to say.

12. "I can't tell him to do that," Eastwood responded.

"He can't do that to himself."

To me it kind of sounded like a roundabout way by Eastwood to tell Romney to go fuck himself while making it come out of the mouth of invisible Obama. And he did it to the cheers and laughs of the republicans. I'm not sure what the exact intention was but the image of Romney being told to go fuck himself is what I came away with. Looking back on it, I'm not sure this wasn't a goof on Romney and the idiots in the audience.

13. Clint should have taken his own advice

(Clint Eastwood discussing the rape scene in High Plains Drifter, from Clint Eastwood, a Biography, by Richard Schickel, p. 292)

Schickel: Why do you think this scene is included in the film? What purpose do you feel it serves? Do you think this scene should have been eliminated from the film? Why or why not?

Eastwood: I might do it differently if I were making it now. I might omit that.

19. think it was needed

now was the rape scene needed in the video game Phantamagoria 1. Probably not. can't remember if it was attempted rape or not. 1995 FMV game. Was a good horror game though. Kept getting my head split open. Ouch. Course the sequel had to go a step further. was close to being rated A for the full frontal nudity dream as he ripped her guts out. on nice chest , but she is having stomach pains. But the scene in High Plains Drifter was needed... 1. whoever he was ghost or not , wasn't a nice guy 2. it was shown for punishment for the town standing by while thugs murdered the sheriff. 2 wrongs don't make it right but it's a movie. What? are we all pro Joe Liberman now? sheesh.

17. He's no James Stewart

if he wants to talk to a rabbit fine.. maybe they thought that black impersonator was going to show up. See on Huffpo they say he lost it. Seriously? and everyone but Rice hasn't? I see Rice as a possible president someday although trying to say things like we need debt help while her arch nemesis Dick Whiney says America can't function without a working debt..... seemed stretched. But compared to Chris Christie, he's harmless. Need to lighten up.. So he's a right leaning Libertarian and I'm a left leaning libertarian. Not really gonna hold it against him. Jon Voight yes that I probably will.. R Lee Ermey? no won't hold what he said against him. um aflack's duck's voice the asians didn't hold it against him. only the the company did. This isn't exactly Mitt the Birther hey it's a joke moment.
