a similar premise is true with food stamps. putting money into the hands of regular people who will spend it is the best way to stimulate the economy, instead of giving it to billionaires who could never spend it in a hundred life times. directing wealth to those who have no way of spending it (because they have so much of it) is a great way to depress the economy. all that money just sits there doing nothing.
