1. I laugh every time I hear the word "smeared"

If you're running for president, this is the gig; this is the biggest of the big leagues.

Anything, and everything is going to be thrown at you, and if you're always complaining that it's "unfair", then you probably don't have what it takes to be the president, because it only gets worse for the winner.

This is what Sanders was largely spared last time, because nobody really though he'd stay in it; the assumption was he would raise issues, generate enthusiasm, and then bow out when it was clear he couldn't win. He is not going to get that kind of pass this time around.

This is what that former Clinton campaign worker meant when they said, "He's now the front-runner; let's see how he likes it."
