Can't talk about record at Bain.
Can't look at Salt Lake Olympics.
Can't mention his record as Governor.
They can't talk about what he did during the Vietnam War.
They can't even talk about taxes.

So all they could do as a prime time introduction, is a pathetic attempt at a comedy from a non-comedian, taking lame shots at President Obama. And keep in mind this probably scripted by people who think "Mallard Fillmore" is hilarious.

4. K&R -- very interesting Rachel explains history/significance of 10 pm convention broadcast hour

It's a funny video, but interesting also because she spells out what a huge mistake it was to play the RNC's nomination video at 9:50, ending it before the networks switched over from their regular programming. In other words, even if Eastwood's speech had been good, this would have been a serious mishandling of campaign resources.

Why do they make up these alternative realities?

To try to shake voters from their frame of reference,
entice them to accept their view of things.

Joe the Plumber and Clint's Empty Chair are deliberately
planned psychological mass media techniques to try
to separate independents from the Democrats.

Shake things up, call it what you will, it was blessed from
the highest levels of Mass Media Psychologists that all
the rMoney can buy.

I think you are right there - and looking from abroad, it is weird to se how easy it is to split americans from their common needs and what in the long run is the best for everyone... I seriously doubt the same would have been able in any of the european nations, to use mass media, and use so easy tools to split different groups from each other....
