the majority of blue states send more money to DC than they receive in federal largesse. The blue states generally have higher state / local taxes than red states. Thus, with the new tax law, blue states are even further subsidizing South Carolina and Alabama. Maybe we should just let them go. Go and be Guatemala or whatever. Go and be "free." I'm tired of them. The United Provinces of Canamerica sounds better every day.

First order of business is to reverse that give away to red, rural states and eliminate farm subsidies since most go to corporate agriculture anyway. Speaking of corporate, why not just eliminate all corporate welfare.

Then we should take a good look at rural healthcare availability with the money saved - Medicare for all.
