After Trump: How Do We Heal Our Country?

Donald Trump news, he will leave the White House one day, whether through impeachment or because he can't be president forever.

When this happens, America will have to deal with the damage Donald Trump did to the country.

How can America heal after Donald Trump? and as we heal how do we prevent the next Donald Trump from coming into power?

We're not going to heal until the older generations that put Trump and before him W. in power die out and the young take over. I've given up any hope that they are going to change and become responsible citizens of the world.

But I'm way more optimistic about the young people, who, unfortunately, will inherit the fucked up world that these irresponsible generations have left them with. And I include my own generation X in this criticism.

Most mass shooters in the U.S. have a common age group. Most of them are in their 20s to early 40s, though of course, there are some outliers. That's not just Gen X. More than a few relate to Trump's dogwhistles to white supremacy and sexism.

I doubt that anyone square the ages of most of this country's mass shootings with blame on older generations who themselves have done battle with powers that be, have promoted the most important progressive issues of our time -- invented much of the base technology that the young claim to be better informed by -- from the 60's onward.

If we want healing, it looks to me as if young people are not helping, either, already fucking up the world by not voting, joining hate groups, representing right wing Koch networks on college campuses, marching in Charlottesville-style protests, forming incels. I've probably forgotten other wounders in the news like Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman ... every generation has its worst. No generation has a monopoly on falling short.

To be fair.

everyone that voted for Trump gets a one way ticket... mandatory.

They will be free to build all the walls they want and shoot up schools and synagogues and churches anytime.

We need to rip Retrumplicans out of office like a fucking cancer.

We need to make the name of Donnie Short Fingers be struck from every historical record, with the exception of the page detailing how he and his entire fucked up family went to fucking prison.

We need to rid ourselves of every Federalist Society nutsack judge he and Turtle Man saddled us with.

There is no "healing" from this shit... there's only tearing this out by the fucking roots

every one of Trumps cronies in the House and Senate are voted out of office and a complete investigation is done over the actions taken by them and by Trumps other people in the White House.
Followed of course by true prison time for those guilty of breaking any law severely which means no wrist slaps because someone has "lead a good life otherwise".

There is a host/parasite thing going on, with corporate power sucking up the collective power and assets of the human workers. An extreme few, exhibited by the Koch/Mercer/DeVos syndicate are a sickness inflicted on the body politic. The libertarian jungle model offers no healing, just fight or flight survival.

As government stabilizes its functions with more trustworthy civil servants and elected officials, then space will open for the rest of the country to keep doing the best they can, individually and collectively, from lessons learned.

Healing will come when humans stop fictional personhoods from running a corporate campus for extractors, tax evaders and foreign invaders, and they restore a Democratic Republic of laws, not men.

It took a long time for this all to come to light, but the country can heal once the diagnosis is accurate and treatment starts in 2020.

we will never rid ourselves of the disease, ergo we can never heal. trump is the symptom, not the cause. he is a republican with no filter between what passes for his brain and his mouth. the republican party stands for everything he supports, scum like mcconnell are no different than trump, they just aren't as vocal about it. until we destroy the modern republican party, the United States cannot heal. because they will always do whatever they can to poison us. we need to reinstate the media rules that Reagan got rid of, to make the media to be honest and factual instead of sensationalistic and profitable. that is one of the first steps we need to take.
even after trump leaves office, we have his residue. two stolen Supreme Court seats. the amped up racists. the cowards who are afraid of every little thing, so they arm themselves to the teeth.
trump is not the problem, trump is just a symptom.
