12. I thought I'd catch hell on my post, so I'll clarify:

I have a great deal of respect for my senator, Tammy Baldwin, who was out while she was in the state legislature--just as I respect all of our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters who have come out. I don't give a damn about what society thinks; it's more about the families.


Would I come out if I were gay? Probably, but we'll never know. I've had gay friends, bosses, professors, and employees. It never mattered to me. I can laugh with anyone (but not the bosses, they seemed angry).

Senator Graham is gutless in so many ways. He has a lot in common with President Heel Spurs. In contrast, look at some past and present courageous and patriotic Democrats: Bob Kerrey, Max Cleland, Daniel Inouye, and Tammy Duckworth. All losing limbs fighting in wars (for the good guys), then continuing to serve their country in a different form. And the GOP pretending to be the law and order party and pretending to be better at defense. Well, look how the tables have turned. Now they're the Chicken Hawk party and the party that sells us out to our worst enemy.

We at DU have every reason to be proud of our party and always should be.
