TRUMP 2016: I've love to produce my tax returns! But...
Watch Trump "explain" why he can't produce his tax returns, although he'd LOVE to! Although you can't tell about a person's wealth by their tax returns, but he'd LOVE to produce them...no one else gets audited every year but I do!...he files statements that say how wealthy he is...but he can't produce his tax returns because of auditing, although he would...he'd LOVE to!

2. Pretty Stupid and he's right. Not once has a reporter or politician pointed out
that he can't be under audit for 50 years. We are too stupid to state the obvious.

3. I believe that after that statement, the IRS stated that he was NOT under audit...
or that even if he were, he's not prevented from releasing his tax returns. Something like that.

5. They can't say if he is under audit or not, but they did say he could release his returns
Still, the longest an audit can normally go is 3 years, sometimes 6 under unusual circumstances, but nobody ever asked for returns 7 years or older.

4. Trump, reveling in revealing the dirty secrets of super-class socialism
Seems a House tax committee has valid reasons to investigate tax laws to see if the tax-payer is being ripped off.
Clearly, there is necessity to invoke the law requiring the income taxes of Trump (top dog rep of the ruining class) to be made available to committee. Trump said so, as he is exposing the rot of the rich, and reveling in revealing the dirty secrets of super-class socialism. Some sarcasm! |

6. Maybe that accounts for Trump's rise?
Most of the pundits and pols clucking about his returns are wealthy. We suspect many of them cheat. In our cynical age, perhaps the admitted criminal really does seem more honest than those who hide.
Even release your returns doesn't prove anything, there are lots of ways to avoid reporting income. |

9. After Cohen's testimony, there is a legitimate reason to look at Trump's tax returns.
Cohen testified that Trump would turn in false numbers for values of properties, and some other things, for tax purposes. Tax fraud.

10. Their heels are dug in. It's a matter of principle, now.
Once they accepted children taken from parents, flown hundreds of miles away, and no records kept of parent identities, and the children locked in cages with concrete floors...once they accepted that, they had crossed that line. That line that stops you from doing something inhumane, or accepting inhumane things done to others. I hate to say it, but I saw how Germany pre-WWII happened, when I saw that. How seemingly normal people had been brought to the acceptance of inhumanity to others.
Unlike Germany, there is a large group of millions who will not stand by and let these things happen without a fight. I believe the children in cages will be the poster child of the Trump Administration. The shame it must wear as a badge forever. |
