... as in the production of them are strategical spread out, to places where some politician find is necessary to get himself some votes - by misusing the defense budget as social aid, since it is the only budget that can easily be misused that way.

Personally, I’d like to see military budget cut almost in half, but we’d have to be prepared for economic consequences. We’d also have to cut back on bullying the world.

Like I said, I think the budget ought to be slashed. But the impact will be severe, and the white wing xenophobes won't like cutting the MIC.
